Change of scene

So what's the point of a blog if it's not about anything, anyway?

I love my vivid dreams.  I used to write them all down.  Hell, even the second post on here is about a dream.  I used to post them in forums.  But lately, the most I have done is mentioned them on Twitter, and 140 character limit does not make for an interesting story.

So. Welcome to my new and improved blog.  About my dreams. Tadahh!

I wish I had a decent one to start with, but my one last night was that all my hair had fallen out, and was growing back in curly.  I was quite pleased, I like curly hair.  But yeah.  Expect more soon, because I have about 160 A4 handwritten pages, plus ones posted elsewhere.

Weird day...but with free stuff so it's fine :)

Last night I went on a baking kick and turned out two batches of fairy cakes (one plain, one choc with cinnamon icing) and a tray of honey almond flapjack. It was kinda to say thanks to people at work - I got a card and chocolates and Lush vouchers for going back to work, which was really sweet of them. Also, I felt like baking. *shrug* It happens sometimes, and when it does the results are usually good.

Unfortunately, I used *real* flour, ate the batter and three fairy cakes, and had stomach cramps all night almost to throwing-up point. So I had about an hour's sleep last night, and we all know what fun sleep deprivation is.

Anyway, I decided against the train with two large boxes of cakes to carry, and took the car in instead. My messed-up mind sent me back into the house four (or was it five?) times for various forgotten items, but I remembered most stuff. Except for my work pass. And my purse. But more on that later.

Work was cool - everyone likes people who show up with fairy cakes ;) So I got a lot of 'thank you' and a lot of 'you shouldn't have' but felt really weird about it for some reason and had a lot of trouble concentrating. I dunno.

Finished up at 2 and went up to Lush to treat myself with the vouchers. Only when I got to the till I realised that my purse was missing. So, I was gonna go in just under the voucher mark (£20) and get the change, but there's this offer on just now where if you spend over £20 you can get a free gift of one of the new products. This includes £25 of face cream! :O The thing is, I was gonna miss out on it because of the £20 mark. I'd nipped out of the shop to call in work and see if it was there, but it wasn't. When I went back in to say I was gonna pull it in below the £20 mark and leave the face cream, the girl (the manager, I think) put a £1 item through the till to put it just over the £20 mark so I could get the face cream after all! How cool is that?! :D So, I took my big bag of lovely Lush goodness in to work to tell them what happened, since I had to pass work to get to my (illegally parked) car anyway. And promptly left the soap and the face cream on someone's desk. *facepalm* Thank goodness for honest colleagues. Much fun was made of the product which I bought named "Sex in the Shower". Gotta love the innuendous product names in that shop, but that is beyond innuendo - and the people I work with need no prompting in that department! ;) So, I suspect I got slightly pink-faced...other people did, anyway!

So yeah. That's about it. Probably not as weird as it seems at the moment, but I'm all sleepy-hyper so whatever. It's fun, I like it. I'm good at computer games when I get like this :D

Oh yeah, and if you're wondering - my purse was under the kitchen table. Yeah.

No regrets

There's this bridge where the road goes over the railway near my friend's house, and about last summer (maybe even before that) someone graffitied on the bridge.

IF YOU LOVE HIM TELL HIM - NO REGRETS

There has to be a story behind that.

There's still a slight trace, but anyone else I mention it to has no idea - nobody even noticed it's there. I don't know how, but I really wanna find out what that was about. It's a few miles from any town, there's not even houses nearby, and it's just this overpass over the railway. Why there? I can't help wondering if whoever wrote it is still alive... Maybe I'm just being morbid, but it seems so sad.

Retro Gaming Goodness, and it's effect on my dreams.

Yo.

So, I've gone and plugged the Gamecube back in, for minor levels of gaming retroness. (I still haven't packed away my Megadrive and was recently playing a text adventure from circa 1983. Yay oldschool). Not that I've ventured into the current gen yet, much as I'd love to. Unless you count my DS, which I don't, seeing as it's portable and a few years old now. Totally have to give Metroid another shot, I could never get into it but can see that it would be really good if I could actually give it a half-decent chance. Whatever.

I'm fed up of being knackered and having weird dreams. Last night I was exploring a haunted castle, which turned out to be a video game I was inside...I never realised until I was hiding from a monster and heard shouts out in the corridor of "Use a summon! Quick!" "I can't, I'm out of MP!" Haven't played any Final Fantasy or anything like that in ages, either. Meh, it's not like it's the first time it's happened.

Whatever, I'm only doing this coz I'm bored and fighting my burgeoning hot chocolate addiction. I swear, I'm getting through two jars a week just now. *shrugs* I'll just count it as calcium intake. *goes to boil kettle*

Newly blogging newly blonde

I suppose this is where most people introduce themselves. Well, I really can't be bothered. You're just gonna have to figure it out as you go along.

Here's a pic, because i'm nice like that (although mostly unphotogenic).

So, this whole newly blonde thing is quite fun. And not bad for a home dye job, even if I do say so myself. As you can probably tell from the eyebrows, my hair is naturally pretty dark. And as you can probably tell from the purple streak, coloured hairsprays are a lot more fun than they used to be when I had dark hair. No, the purple isn't permanent. I've been playing around with the colours like other people play around with hairclips.

Um, in other news, I might get a cat. Not sure yet. But I seem to be doing a lot of the previously not sure stuff right now - blonde hair, new blog, whatever. We'll see how long it lasts. And I already scrounged a litter tray. Think I might check out the rescue centre soon. Here, kitty kitty...
